Wednesday Words of Wisdom

After a serious post yesterday, it’s time to lighten the mood with some inspiring words of wisdom, courtesy of Pinterest.

WednesdayWisdom

After making my Ironman decision public, I think my body felt relieved and I actually had a decent run. A good run always leaves me feeling invigorated, inspired and generally happy about life. I hope this post shares a little bit of that feeling with you today!

Good for you! I love that last one about summer bodies, especially as people are starting to break out the “it’s almost swimsuit season” promos.

Inspiration this week… YOU! I’m so proud of you being smart. I was still bummed about pushing back my competition and you’ve been a great example. Xo

Aw..thank you! Do you know how inspiring YOU are by the way? Since I’m backing off triathlon volume, I’ve actually asked Kirk to add an extra day of strength training into my schedule. :)

I love that “life can be tough” one – it’s SO true! I’m constantly reminded of my strength, especially when I think I just can’t take more and then somehow I do – both mentally AND physically.

Oh yay! I didn’t actually plan this post, it just came to me as I was about to close down the computer last night. Glad it did! :)

Love all the inspiration!! My motivational quote probably won’t make sense out of context, and it’s a long one to explain. But it’s, “Wow! What a ride!!”

It’s the end of a longer quote that basically says to live life to it’s fullest so you look back on it and say, “Wow! What a ride!!”. Bob and I have this engraved in our wedding bands, too. :)

Thanks for sharing these! I like the life is tough one. Sometimes it’s hard to remember to be tougher than what’s thrown at you.

And that what’s thrown at you can MAKE you tougher. That’s a really hard one for me to remember too!

For the last few months, my mantra has been “Have faith. and Don’t stop Believing!” I have to remind myself of that over and over and over again. And remind myself to be patient and that everything works out the way it’s supposed to – but you also have to work for it.
I think I need to make some motivational quotes to sit on my desktop so that I can see them ALL THE TIME. :)

GREAT mantra! Patience is hard when you’ve got something you really want in front of you, but I think that’s when we get the most out of the lesson too.

I love this post. Very inspiring. One of my favorite quotes this week is: “To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.” – Elbert Hubbard. My favorite quotes tend to change weekly depending on what is going on!

“let your faith be bigger than your fear.” such a great statement. that one speaks to me most out of all of these. i need to have faith that things will all work out the way that they’re planned (or not planned) and to quit trying to steer life in all sorts of crazy directions.

So much easier said than done for me too – although I believe the process is sometimes a HUGE part of the learning. :)

Ooooh I like that quote about running improving your feeling of LIVING. I get that, totally. I’ve actually been trying not to worry about time or distance when I run, and it has been a bit freeing. Sometimes, it really is nice just to reconnect with the act, and with yourself…running to run!

Sometimes you need that freedom feeling, especially when you’re goals are for fitness and not racing. I’m actually going in the other direction right now and getting excited about more data after my workshop this weekend (more on that soon!). :)
