Oh my goodness, the last post of 2012!! I sure waiting until the last moment to share the top recipes of the year, right?

This has been a fun year in the recipe creation department for me. It’s not too long ago that I found cooking without a recipe intimidating and stressful. Now I find it fun, exciting, and even relaxing. My how things can change in a few short years!

Looking back at this year in recipes, I’m proud of so many of the creations I’ve come up with. And with how Kirk and I have figured out how to cook in the kitchen at the same time (something that used to drive me crazy) where we can create pairing dinners at home! I love how food can create so many memories.

Okay, enough rambling for today…let’s get to the top 10 recipes of the year, based on pageviews! And the reveal of the MMAZ January ingredients at the bottom of this post!

I feel really lucky to have gotten to try a few of these straight from the source. That Mac and cheese is insanely good. And the soup… OMG.

I can’t wait to jump back into Meatless Monday. Spinach is my jam! :)

Happy New Year!!! xo

I’m so glad you’ve gotten to try them and that you liked them, that’s always so much fun to hear! :) Spinach is something that often takes a backseat to kale for me, but I’m thinking of something clean and simple for this one!

woo HOO, so happy to know there will be a round two! :D

and I still cannot believe I suggested vermouth instead of vodka. I am disappointed in myself ;)

I have several food related memories from the year – my vegan chef immersion training over the summer was SO delicious, helping teach my first cooking demo in October, and the many delicious meals spent with friends – here at our house AND out in restaurants. food wise it has been a delicious year!

cheers – happy new year!

It’s too much fun to quit now, right?! I just want to get even more people involved, because the more the merrier. :)

Oh your vegan chef immersion training, I DO remember that. I would love to do something like that sometime. Did you do raw cooking in that class?

we did, we had three full days of raw, with a couple half days of prep and study – it was so awesome.

I’m already brainstorming for spinach! Okay, and some end-of-the-month vodka, you temptress, you :) Dreaming of mac + cheese and biscuits + gravy. Argh, forgot that those have been on my list of things to make for ages, they’re getting bumped back to the top!

The vodka was actually not my idea – it came from the facebook post, I swear! :) But really, how can you not want to join in that week, right? :)

Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen January 1, 2013 at 6:45 PM

Gah! I still need to make so many of those…especially the Pizza Hummus. :) But aren’t you SO proud that I’m ALMOST making cashew ‘cheese’…I mean, isn’t cashew cream just one shake of nooch away? Maybe?

Oh goodness. I am going to have to buy vodka now, aren’t I? I swore I’d never buy it again, as the smell makes me flash back to some very unfortunate collegiate escapades.

That makes me so happy to hear – I love when others want to make my recipes. :) And yes, you have to join – don’t want to break your streak! You can get a small bottle at the liquor store, maybe you can make up with it. :)
