Hey :) I just found your blog and am super excited about reading it.

I’ve always wanted to do a tri but the biking aspect always intimidates me. It just seems like a really long distance. :(

Thank you for sharing your tips online and happy holidays ^^

So glad you came by Nadiya! As I find with most sports, distance is all relative. You just need to take your time and work up your distance slowly, then it doesn’t feel too overwhelming. Believe me – I had NO idea what I was doing when I got started! :)

A seriously great series – loving these wrap-up-the-year posts, Heather! :D A top fitness tip from me? Hmmm… Live the lifestyle. It’s not about one good training period or a few months of clean eating even – it’s about living the life with each choice, day in and day out for the rest.of.your.life! And that’s a good thing. :D

I never said it before; a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Kirk! :)

Thank you!! I was hoping people would enjoy them and it wouldn’t be “looking back overload”. :)

Great tip from you – live it, instead of a race at a time. That’s a harder one for me, which is why I choose so many races, but I hope to eventually be more intrinsically motivated with fitness.

And a Happy New Year to you too!!

That winter running post pretty much crafted a giant portion of my Christmas list. And then cost me some money when I didn’t get much of it from Santa. ;)
