Turn up the Flavor + Green Goodness Dressing

How do you like to turn up the flavor on your meals? For me, I love to add lots of extra veggies, seasonings, and often a little extra heat. I’m always looking for ways to put my own twist on things and make it my own.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try Green Giant Seasoned Steamers and was pleased to taste how well seasoned these already were. I chose the Backyard Grilled Potatoes, which come seasoned with bell peppers and spices in the bag, ready to cook! Green Giant Logo.jpg

The preparation couldn’t be easier, just pop in the microwave (directly from the freezer) and cook for about 8 minutes. After cooking, I just cut off the corner of the bag and poured them onto a serving dish.

The flavor of the potatoes straight out the bag was great! Eating this straight out of the bag would be no problem at all. I would definitely buy these again for those evenings when you’re a little short on time.

Since I do love to make things my own, I thought a creamy dressing would turn up the flavor even more! Topping the potatoes with this optional dressing adds a little something extra, when you’re in the mood to do something different.

Another idea is to use these Backyard Grilled Potatoes as part of a brunch meal. Maybe paired with some Kale Sausage Balls?

I know I talk about this all the time, but I love opening up a can of refried beans and incorporating them into a meal. I usually make some sort of taco salad type thing out of it.

Have you ever had the Green Giant Steam Fresh green beans with almonds? I eat that all the time. No sauce, but it’s still really good with just a bit of salt.

I can understand the refried beans, an easy recipe starter! I haven’t tried the green beans with almonds, I’ll have to look for it!

Yum! I love roasted potatoes but I never seem to get them ‘just right,’ as far as moisture level and crispness balance. This might save me. :)

Love that dressing. Tarragon is so DELICIOUS but I always seem to forget about it.

These weren’t really crispy, but I loved the texture and moisture level. When you have two overflowing drawers full of spices, sometimes you just look for what hasn’t been used recently. :)

You know my feelings about potatoes… but that dressing sounds so good! I love a creamy sauce and for some reason I never think to use tarragon. Adding to the list of things to try…

I know – I actually thought of you when we got these, but they sounded good to me! You can use the dressing on something else. ;)

I must try this dressing!! I love semi homemade meals. Trader joes is great for that!! Right now I can’t use any of that stuff while I’m trying to heal my tummy, but I can’t wait to be able to again!

Annie’s Goddess dressing is my favorite! This one sounds delicious. I love making my own things too, but have also been appreciating more semi-homemade items. :)

That is a great brand – I can’t remember if their version of this is dairy-free, but they usually have some amazing options.

That is SUCH an amazing compliment, I’m really working on my photos and this was a tough one! Sometimes things that taste amazing aren’t very photogenic (as everyone will see with my next mmaz recipe. ;)).
