We’re taking a little break from recipes this week, because I finally finished my Fall Bucket list! I love this idea and really enjoyed seeing what others had planned on their summer and fall bucket list. I’ve been been writing down ideas as I thought of them for a few weeks and I’m finally ready to share my list!
I think this is a pretty good mix of stuff, although heavy on food and drink perhaps. I just kept thinking of food things that sounded like Fall! Here’s a breakdown of the list:
Food & Drink
- Drink Hot Cider by the Fire with good company and conversation.
- Make Chili; either a new recipe or one that looks good.
- Sip Hot Coffee on Back Porch, preferably in the morning with a good view of the mountains!
- Smore’s over Open Fire. I need to find BIG vegan marshmallows – anyone found them?
- Bake a Fall Dessert that makes the whole house smell like Fall.
Fitness
- Hike through changing leaves – maybe even take a picture playing in the leaves?
- Run a Fall-themed Race; something along the lines Halloween, Thanksgiving, or something similar.
Fun
- Carve a pumpkin in time for Halloween Trick-or-Treaters
- Decorate Front Porch for the season! It’s probably time to take down the white flower wreath…
- Make a Pinterest project, instead of just pinning things. There are so many goode ideas to choose from!
I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with my hubby checking these items off my list over the next few months. My goal is to finish this list by the end of November, just in time for a Christmas bucket list (not that I’m already thinking about Christmas or anything…).

Questions for you:
-
What would you put on your Fall bucket list?
-
Have you made a Pinterest project? I’m thinking of making this a monthly goal of mine.
-
What food screams FALL for you?

On my Fall Bucket List is a corn maze – either during the day or a haunted one at night…

I’ve seen those, but hadn’t really thought of doing one. Definitely not a haunted one for me though, I’m a wuss!
Great list! I can’t wait to hike through some pretty fall foliage and to sit by a fire. It’s not going to be cold enough here for the fire for quite a while, but it’s always something I thoroughly enjoy.

It’s so funny the difference in temps here (which I love) – it snowed this morning! And it’s supposed to do it again tomorrow. :)
I’ve definitely make a lot of recipes that I’ve found on Pinterest, but as for like crafty projects, nope!
I want to go apple picking this fall. Hopefully we’re going to do this tomorrow because we’re visiting my in-laws and they live near some farms and orchards.

Exactly – recipes are the easy part it seems. I’m thinking maybe a Fall wreath project, I could knock out part of the front porch decorating at the same time!
I wish I liked apples more, because apple picking does sound kinda fun. :)
Love the list! Fall is my favorite time of the year, but other than the chili I’ve never done anything on your list.
Take advantage of the fall scented candles that are out there too! I bought a pumpkin one and it’s the best smell ever.
Mine too – I love Fall! Scented candles are a great reminder – I feel like I have several somewhere that I need to find.
All great things! How are you guys liking CO?
LOVE Colorado. It snowed! In October! I’m hoping it will snow again tonight so I can run in the snow tomorrow. :)
I don’t need to do any pinterest projects. i have so much stuff to do already! :)
fall food = acorn squash. It’s been so long.

You are already creatively inspired – you don’t NEED pinterest. :)
For big vegan marshmallows, order from http://sweetandsara.com/. They are SO good. Her s’mores are excellent, too!

Thank you!! Headed over to order them now. :)
I love your list!!! Only thing I’d add is going apple picking, which we’re doing this weekend- it’ll be my first time! I’m hoping to come home with bushels full of apples :)

If I liked apples, I would put that on my list. I like applesauce, cobbler, etc, but not raw. I guess I could still go picking and just bake a lot of apple goodies though!
Jason and I both have the day off today, and we are decorating the front porch! :) Moving into this new house this year, it is our first Halloween in a while where we will have trick or treaters… we used to live on 2 acres and… nobody came by! We are excited and decorating, buying lots of candy…
we also want to go to the corn maze, and I am making cider this weekend!

Oh – lucky you guys! I hope you share pics of your newly festive porch – I could use more ideas. :) So excited that you guys are getting trick or treaters, it’s so much fun! Kirk and I usually dress up that night just to hand out candy. You know we like to dress up. :)
I love this idea! I would have a lot of the same food related things- pumpkin, chili, cider, etc. I have made maybe one recipe off Pinterest and nope, no projects. Crazy, isn’t it? I should pin some fall things today and choose one to actually follow through on!

Food is just good, right?! I think you should definitely pick a Fall project – we can both cross that off our lists then. :)
This is a spectacular list!

Thanks Janetha! It’s going to be a fun couple of months checking boxes. :)
What a great list!! I’ll come over and do them with you! ;) Chili is screaming fall to me right now!

Sounds like a plan – just hop on the plane. ;)
Heather! Just MAKE vegan marshmallows.
I want to come do some of these too… 3rd weekend in Nov maybe?

I hadn’t thought of making marshmallows, it seems like one of those thing you have to buy. Now I have to look into that. And I’ll probably buy one bag to be lazy in the meantime.
YES!!! We’ll be here – just let me know when you know for sure and I’ll reserve your room. :)
I’m busy busy this fall with school and such, but I’ve been working on putting together my AWESOME Hallowe’en costume (which will be on the blog later), and just enjoying fall comfort foods and sticking to my running. But I also really, really like your s’mores idea :D I believe Sweet & Sara carries some big mallows?

Oooh – I can’t wait to hear about your Halloween costume! I ordered some marshmallows from Sweet & Sara on Friday, can’t wait to get them. :)
I love the chili idea, I think I need to add that to my list as well!!! Lots of good fall bucket list ideas!!! I love lists haha

Me too – gives you that organized feeling! I bet you have lots of lists going on right now, you’re so close to having a new little person in your house. :)
I would love to go apple picking this fall! I just haven’t found anywhere close to me where I can!

For someone who doesn’t really like apples (raw), I sure have been buying a lot of those recently. Maybe I should have added apple picking to my list. :)
Oooh, I love you list including a lot of fun and homey activities. I might just have to steal your idea – why hadn’t I thought of that? – for a hike through changing leaves. It would be perfectly well embedded in my plan of spending more time with my parents living in the countryside. I feel like the colder months make me long for quality time with my family a lot.
Call me childish – well, I guess I just am – but one point on my bucket list is building acorn people for decoration again. Did you do that as a child, too? We did every year.

Steal away! I think you’re right about colder weather and family, it feel like a homey time of year.
I love your acorn people idea – I’m a big kid for sure!
Love it! Such great goals…and most of them are just impetus for enjoying the season to the fullest. :)
I would like to see a picture of you playing in the leaves. Thanks in advance for that.

Exactly – get outside and enjoy the season! I’ll really try to take pictures of the leaf playing, it sounds like it would be a fun one to look back on in the future. :)
