September Reflections & Favorites

Today’s the last weekday of September (I almost typed August, apparently I’m really in denial), which means it’s time for a look back at the month. I love this opportunity to slow down and remember the month before October is here on Monday.

Your Favorite Post

The recipe for Pizza Hummus was the overwhelming winner this month, a surprise hit it seems! I used this hummus to replace the cheese base on pizza several times in one month – and I RARELY repeat recipes.

My Favorite Post

This was a difficult one to write and publish, but I’m glad I did and am overwhelmed at the support of this community – even those who disagreed with my decision to move to A (Mostly) Plant Based Diet.

No new videos this month – I need to get on that!

Tonight, Kirk and I are creating our own beer tasting dinner again, just like we did for Valentine’s Day. We decided that a reason to celebrate wasn’t necessary! The theme for tonight’s dinner is Fall, so I hope to have some awesome new recipes to share next week from tonight’s feast!

And don’t forget about the October #MMAZ  ingredients, which kicks off Monday with Hominy! Click here for all the details on Meatless Mondays from A-Z and how to join in the fun!

Questions for you:

  • If you are a blogger, what was your favorite post this month (share the link in the comments so I can check it out!)?
  • Did you have a favorite post that wasn’t mentioned above?
  • What was your favorite memory from September?

Yes! We actually went to see the Dinosaur tracks and did a mini hike on Saturday, but I didn’t think to do a video while we were out there. Next time!!

Thanks for the recap! I hadn’t caught your “mostly plant” post, but reread that one–I made a similar decision to include eggs and greek yogurt in my formerly vegan diet this month, so I’m with ya, it’s a hard change to both make AND reveal.

P.S. I’m making biscuits tonight.
P.P.S. You and the hubs are so cute.

I remember your post too! I’m glad we were both able to be honest, it’s important that we CAN do that.

How were the biscuits?!

SO good! There’s a picture of them up on my blog post from yesterday–I subbed in half buckwheat flour, so the gray-ness is completely my fault, not the recipe ;D

Your request list is getting longer and longer, but I think it would be so much fun to do a pairing dinner. You need to come visit soon! :)

I always wonder if people will like it when I do a recap, but I’m like you and it’s good for me to get a chance to catch up when I get behind on a blog! And I’m SO happy you have been able to keep up this month. :)

I just finished up the end of the pizza hummus this weekend, it might be my favorite snack creation. I had a great weekend before I gave into being sick – I hope yours was even better!

I can’t believe that September is over tomorrow. That means as of tomorrow, I can say that my baby is due NEXT month (this totally scares the crap outta me!).

I’m glad I got to venture down to Florida this month – much needed before life changes drastically!
