Fun Fact Friday: What Do You Love More?

in Fun Stuff, Life

Fun Fact Friday two weeks in a row! This survey and last week’s survey were both competing for attention last week, so instead of playing favorites I am completing them both. Plus it gives me a little more time to brainstorm my next Meatless Mondays from A-Z recipe.

1. Strength training or cardio?

Cardio – especially running! As much as I appreciate strength and am enjoying it, running is still my favorite activity (even when I don’t always feel it).

2. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

I’d have to say dinner, because that’s usually the more elaborate meal. Dinner is one of my favorite ways to celebrate, whether we are cooking at home or headed out to a fancy restaurant.

3. Dress up or workout clothes?

I love to dress up – it’s so much fun! It’s actually one of our favorite things about a cruise, formal night is something we look forward to. Any excuse to dress up and I’m all over it!

I don’t really have many cute workout clothes anymore, everything is well-worn in my closet. Smile

4. Wine or beer?

Why do I have to choose?! We love visiting wineries and breweries, really enjoy homebrewing our own beer, equally enjoy wine & beer pairing dinners… this is a really hard question. I’ll spend more on wine than beer, so maybe that means I like it a little more?

5. Peanut butter or almond butter?
Almond butter is a little sweeter and typically my favorite, although I’ve been enjoying Coconut Peanut Butter spread recently.

6. Heels or flats?

For comfort, flats (usually in the form of flip-flops). For fashion, heels. I’m really noncommittal, aren’t I?

7. The actual cake or the frosting?

Frosting – that’s the best part! I don’t really love cake, so I has to be a REALLY good cake to catch my attention.

8. Spring, summer, fall, or winter?

Fall rules! It has college football, outdoor fires, the beautiful colors of changing leaves, crisp weather, just so many reasons this is the best season ever!

9. Real animal or stuffed animal?

My puppies can beat any stuffed animal! Well, they’d probably ignore it, since they aren’t really into toys, but they are much cooler than the stuffed kind. Smile

10. Bright or light?

Huh? I don’t think I get this question…

Have you been brainstorming your recipe for the third week of Meatless Monday from A-Z? Week 3’s featured ingredient is Caper berries. If you absolutely can’t find these little treats, I’ll also accept Capers this week, even though they aren’t the same.

If your new to #MMAZ, the short story is share your meatless recipe which includes the key ingredient. There’s a link on Monday’s post where you can add a link and a picture to your creation. It can be a new or old recipe, just remember to add the MMAZ image to your post.

You can see full details about the concept here and grab the image for your post on Monday on the right sidebar. The first two weeks have been fantastic – help me keep the excitement going strong by joining in the fun! Remember it doesn’t have to be a fancy recipe – quick & easy snacks, lunches, etc. are encouraged!

********************

Questions for you:

  • Pick one of the questions above and share your answer (or link to your post with this survey, if you’ve already done it)!
  • What ingredients would you like to see for E, F & G on Meatless Mondays from A-Z?

I think dressing up is a little like playing dress-up for me. It’s fun to look fancy.

Start thinking of Date recipes, that’s the next one up!

In the winter, I think my favorite season is spring and then in the summer, I think it’s fall!

I really need to try the coconut peanut butter!
I have a habit of having about 10 different varieties of nut butter going on at a time in my house- so I made myself finish them off before buying any more. BUT I’m down to just my Justin’s vanilla almond butter (1 open jar and two new ones that I am hoarding from Colorado) and 1 jar of homemade peanut butter. I think that buying a new jar certainly would be acceptable. :)

If you like crunchy PB, look for the crunchy coconut spread…I like it much better than the creamy for some reason…

You surprised me with the workout clothes and the icing > cake! I’m with you on wine > beer. But maybe we just spend more on it because it’s typically more expensive to get the good stuff?

E – endive or edamame, F – fava beans for fennel, G – grapefruit or ginger

I think it’s just that I don’t have many cute workout clothes right now – so dressing up is more fun. I’m planning to use at least one of the letters you suggested – maybe two. ;)

Literally I was just looking at some recipes I want to adapt and one of them calls for capers. I thought, “OH! I can do that for Meatless Monday A-Z. Except capers and caperberries aren’t really the same thing. So nevermind.”

:)

I’m so glad I decided to be flexible on Friday – I would have really been in trouble otherwise. :)

Totally agree with you on Fall. With cooler temps this week, and some early turning leaves, I am practically giddy.

Also am shamefully behind on the veggie challenge. Have not been able to find beets (???) and I don’t even know what a caper berry looks like! lol I did battle an artichoke last night, finally. I didn’t know those things were so prickly! Lots of work, but very yummy.

Just jump in any week that works for you – no pressure! Dates were at my grocery store this week, so grab yourself some and start creating for next Monday! :)

I’ve had my thinking cap on all week, haha. I might have to use capers, since I’m not sure I’ll find caperberries, but I’ll try my best, no fear :) If it was spring, I’d totally say fiddleheads for F, as I’ve always wanted to cook with them, but that would be pretty much impossible to find this time of year.

I have yet to try fiddleheads – that would have made a great F!

Some of those questions are hard and I can’t pick either! One I can decide on is cake or frosting – CAKE! I like my piece from the center of the cake where it only has icing on top and not on the sides.

Dates are up next, get your brainstorming hat on. :)

Frosting is most definitely the best part! Finding good, vegan frosting recipes when I switched to a plant-based diet was a huge priority. haha.
And I love getting dressed up too! <3

Yes – the smells! I didn’t even think about that, but it’s probably one of the reasons I love it!

I love these quizzes! So much fun. So many of the things I’m stuck on answering, though. Cardio or weights? Depends on the day. Breakfast, lunch or dinner? ALL OF IT NOW PLEASE. But I definitely choose dress-up, wine, peanut butter, flats (sometimes heels), frosting, summer, & real animal. HAH. I answered them all :P I don’t understand the last one, either, though…
