Peek Into My Mile-High Kitchen

I keep meaning to share more about our house in Colorado, but I never think things are cleaned up enough or “ready” to share. Last night after dinner, I decided it didn’t matter. We’re all friends here, right?

So, I shot a video of the kitchen – the most important room in the house, right?! I didn’t finish cleaning up, I tripped over the trash can…. it’s far from perfect.

But so am I, so come on a tour of the kitchen with me anyway!

The two recipes that I mentioned in the video:

Both recipes were fantastic – and now I have plenty to mix and match for meals the next few days. I hope you enjoyed the little video tour of the kitchen. If you enjoyed it, I’d love for you to subscribe to my YouTube Channel. As always – I love to hear from you guys, so let me know your thoughts in the comments here or on YouTube. I’m trying to grow my followers on YouTube, so I appreciate  your support so much!

Questions for you:

  • What did you have for dinner last night?
  • What is your favorite room in your house?
  • Do you care to see more of the house – or was this video bad enough? ;)

More house!! I’ve been obsessed with house hunters all summer. My living conditions are ridiculous, imagine so cramped NYC dorm with 3 people. No living space – barely a kitchen, not even a full size fridge, and no windows. Would be fine except i’m 25 and not a student anymore…
Your kitchen is beautiful! I want a fridge with the bottom freezer drawer one day.
What do you watch on tv/computer while cooking??

Yay – I’m glad you want to see it, it’s fun to share. I just need to get over my “it doesn’t look quite right” issues. I think this house would cost a gazillion dollars in NYC, at least that’s my impression. I still want to live there one day – small space and all.

Last night I watched “The Dollhouse” from Amazon Prime – I just started season 2. I think I have to watch Sherlock next, from BBC, according to Sarah Pember. :)

Gorgeous kitchen, Heather! I composted a lot last year but this year I’ve been slacking since we were having snake problems in the back yard. I was afraid I’d encounter one on my way to the compost bin!

Thanks Stacy! Snakes are scary, but I have seen way more out here than I did in Atlanta. I think I have to get over it. ;)

gorgeous kitchen! i would kill for all that counter space, and pantry cupboards?! my little counter space gets smaller every day, as our cupboards are stuffed to the gills and i have nowhere else to stack stuff. i love the walk in pantry at my parents’ house. thanks for sharing this pearled couscous recipe, just bought some for the first time!

I’ve been lucky in both houses with counter-space – that’s a big deal to me too. I hope you enjoy Katie’s recipe, I’ve LOVED it! :)

Okay, first of all, you’re so adorable!
Second, I’m in love with your kitchen. The granite is gorgeous. I can’t wait until I buy a house (or apartment) and am able to remodel everything the way I want it. But, for now I’ll just have to deal with my apartment’s ugly, 70′s-inspired countertops. haha. At least my bedroom is decorated cute. (:
And that couscous dish looks amazing!

Haha – thanks! I think getting to remodel the way you want would be so much fun, except for having to live through the mess while it gets done. My bedroom needs some help still, so you’ve got an important room covered!

dinner last night? I made a new nori roll and some “sushi”. SO good.

one of my favorite rooms in OUR new house is the kitchen… and when we remodel even more so! :D I loved seeing your kitchen, and yes please do more! (especially with cameos of pups!)

Thanks for a little tour of your kitchen.. This really looks the same with my aunts’.. The placement of your oven the the fridge,, including the counter in the middle.. But what I like the most is the marble design of your counter.

Thanks!! I have to give the previous owners the credit for picking it out, but it was a huge selling point when we found the house.
