This post is so long overdue, so I’m excited to finally be sharing it with you today! It’s actually very appropriate as we head into the weekend and the adventures you may have planned. Will you be Living Topside this weekend?
Living Topside was founded in early 2011 and is a place for adventure, sports and travel enthusiasts to share their lifestyle. It’s a social network that allows you to build your own electronic passport to track your adventures across the globe. You can upload pictures, pin point spots on the map where they’ve been, and where you hope to go one day.
I created my profile and added our trip to Utah so far. I have so many more I can upload here and I love the idea of pushpins on the map showing my adventures! You’ll find the design of the site clean and appealing (which is not surprising since one of the co-owners is the genius behind my logo design).
Like most social networks, you can meet friends & ask questions to other “Topsiders” (as they call them) – a great way to get ideas and opinions on locations others have been before. You can also follow their “Friend Feed” to see what other Topsiders are doing.
I know we all have a million different social channels, but I thought this idea was pretty cool and that it might help other “travel buffs” chart their adventures around the world. I think I’m going to slowly add some of the cool locations I’ve visited, more for myself than anything else I’m a visual person and love the idea of seeing where I’ve been on the map. :)
Interested in learning more about Living Topside? Check out their About page for more information. You can also find them on Facebook, where you’ll see many Topsiders uploading photos of their adventures with Topside swag. I think I need to get myself a coozie!

I’m beyond excited for our vacation to Greece later on this year. It is a much needed & much awarded vacation for the hubs!
Have a great weekend girl :)

Greece – that sounds awesome! Make sure you try greek olive oil, it’s my favorite instead of italian since we visited a few years ago. :)
Ah okay, I’ll definitely have to remember that!! Thanks :)
That is really cool! I’ll have to check into that. :)

I can’t believe neither one of us have our next vacation plan, what’s this world coming to! ;)

that is pretty neat! i don’t think i can handle another social network (especially when my travel has dropped so dramatically after alex moving to denver!!) but i like this idea! i think it would just stir the wanderlust inside me even more. :)
i do remember in the early days of facebook something similar. it was an app or a tab on my profile that was called ‘where have i been’ and it was very similar – you put pushpins in where you’d been, where you’re going, where you have lived, etc. it was pretty cool to see where all my friends had been!

I know your feeling, social media overload sometimes. I like the idea of getting new travel ideas though.
I remember that plugin thing on Facebook, I wonder what ever happened to it?
I have extreme wanderlust. I’m pretty sure I come up with a new place I want to live and/or visit daily. [If no hourly.]
This is so much fun! I wish I could travel MORE. The Adirondacks were pretty darn amazing, though. :)

You had some great pics from Adirondacks, I don’t thing I’ve ever spent much time there!
This looks so neat! I love to travel, and I would love map out where I want to go and where I have been! Coming back to CO is on my bucket list for sure!

That was my thought too – the map idea is what interests me most. And you better come hang out when you visit CO next time. :)
